EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor degree from four year college or university preferred, but prior experience in business, career development, case management, public relations, vocational education or rehabilitation accepted. Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for securing community based employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities by doing the following (this is not an exhaustive list):
- Providing employment assistance and counseling to individuals with disabilities
- Developing community based training sites
- Develop strong relationships with local businesses
- Compiling detailed and accurate reports
Daily travel within a designated coverage area is an integral component of this position.
This position will include interacting with Vocational Rehabilitation agencies, as well as various businesses. Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills are required.
This position will report directly to the Director of Vocational Services.
